In the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 semi-final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Australia set a target of 265 runs for India. Opting to bat first, Australia posted a total of 264 runs before being bowled out in 49.3 overs.

Captain Steve Smith anchored the innings with a commendable 73 runs off 96 balls, including four boundaries and one six. Wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carey contributed a quick 61 runs from 57 deliveries, featuring five boundaries and a six.

India’s bowling attack was led by Mohammed Shami, who claimed three wickets, while spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each, effectively restricting Australia’s run flow.

In response, India commenced their chase and, at the time of this report, have reached 93 runs for the loss of two wickets in 19 overs. Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer are at the crease, steadily guiding India’s pursuit of the 265-run target.
